Provably fair: meaning in crash games

By · Last updated October 30, 2026

A cryptographic method that lets you check a game result wasn't changed after you bet. The game publishes a hash of a secret server seed before the round and reveals the seed afterwards, so you can recompute the result.

Why it matters

It’s the best way to confirm a game is fair before you commit to it.

In practice

To use it, note the hashed server seed before you play, then open the fairness panel after the round to see the revealed seed, client seeds and nonce. Our verifier can recompute hashes in the generic HMAC-SHA256 method; each game’s own formula is in its documentation.

Example

Hash the revealed server seed and check it matches the pre-round hash.
