Martingale strategy for crash games

By · Last updated 30 October 2026

Martingale is the most-asked-about Aviator “strategy” in Nigeria: double your stake after every loss, and go back to the base stake after a win. With a 2x auto-cashout, one win recovers all previous losses plus one base stake. Read bankroll management alongside this.

How a cycle works at 2x

Round Stake Result Running total
1 ₦400 Lose −₦400
2 ₦800 Lose −₦1,200
3 ₦1,600 Lose −₦2,800
4 ₦3,200 Win (2x) +₦400

Where it breaks

Stakes double each loss: ₦400, ₦800, ₦1,600, ₦3,200, ₦6,400, ₦12,800. After six losses you’ve staked ₦25,200, more than a ₦20,000 bankroll. At 97% RTP you lose at 2x 51.5% of the time, so six losses in a row come up in about 1 in 53 cycles. A session has dozens of cycles.

Simulation (₦20,000 bankroll, ₦400 base, 2x, 10,000 sessions): about 50% of 100-round sessions went bust, and about 94% of 1,000-round sessions. Flat ₦400 bets at 2x finished with a median of ₦18,400 and no busts.

Compare it with fixed auto-cashout.

Frequently asked questions

Does Martingale work on Aviator?

It wins small amounts often, but a long losing streak can outrun your bankroll or the table limit, so it needs a deep bankroll and strict stop rules.
